First established in August 1993 as an import & export trading company, WIDOS Asia has transformed over the years while identifying the trends and expanding the business to reach out to various needs of growing market demands in Singapore and Asia Pacific and be the one-stop solution for our customers. This includes the establishment of our One-Stop Centre where we provide servicing, repair works, trainings and machine rentals that is supported by our team of in-house specialist with decades of hands-on experience, network and knowledge.
Outside of Singapore, we have also successfully introduced WIDOS machineries and services to projects in China, Taiwan, Middle East, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines and Malaysia for brands like Shell, TSMC and MICRON.
We revolutionised the way our customers shop and ramped up on our online outreach. www.WIDOS.Asia was given a new face-lift allowing customers to request for quote directly on our website.
We also introduced our with our new eStore – www.SIMZWerkz.com – in 2018. This move was well received as the demographics of our customers shifted to serve B2C market and expanded our product lines to include medical, automotive and motorcycle industry. The Covid-19 pandemic has further proven the value of this movement with the eStore serving both B2B and B2C market segments during Circuit Breaker and when Social Distancing measures were in place.
This year, we celebrate our 30th years in Singapore & Asia Pacific. We are proud of the successes we have achieved and the relationship we have built over the years. OUR HISTORY
1993
On 31 August, Ideal International Pte Ltd was established as a trading company dealing with WIDOS Butt Welding Machines, Air-conditioning and Cutting Tools.
1995
On 26 April, WIDOS Far East Plastic was established to take care of all WIDOS plastic welding businesses.
1998
The Company was appointed by WIDOS W Dommer Sohn GmbH, Germany, as its Service & Repair Centre to serve all WIDOS customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
With the appointment and expansion of the butt welding business and the increase in regional coverage, WIDOS Far East Plastic merged with Ideal International Pte Ltd to form WIDOS Technology (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd. This is to enhance its business and to give better service to its customers.
2003
On 17 October, a Representative Office, known as WIDOS Technology SIP Representative Office, was set up in the Suzhou to take care of the China market.
2014
Jumping on the trend of online shopping, we took to the internet with the launch of our first-ever eStore - Shop4Tools - focusing on quality hand tools, tools storage furniture, and plastic welding fittings.
2018
WIDOS Asia celebrated 25 Years of Excellence; we took the joyous occasion to announce the revamp and rebranding of our eStore to SIMZWerkz.com. With the growing interest for innovative hand tools and tool storage & organization systems, the eStore shifted in demographics to serve more B2C market and moved towards automotive and motorcycle industry and the product line is constantly growing to fit market demands.
2020
In the year of worldwide pandemic, WIDOS Asia worked on improving our systems with time and introduced a more dynamic & efficient corporate site that allows customers to view our products on online and request for quote directly.
2023
Moving forward with the green effort, WIDOS Asia commits to sourcing machines (like the e-Fuze Battery Powered Electrofusion) that is environmental friendly, lower our carbon footprint, while keeping it safe for our users.
